Man I can’t believe how time flies by, it has been so long since I wrote anything here, thought maybe it’s time to catch up. So many things are changing in the techno world, what a fun time to have access to all this technology. The iPad is still one of my favourite toys and has come a long way since it’s purchase. Not planning on upgrading to the iPad2 or iPad3 (when it comes out) but have upgraded to IOS 5 which has some awesome features and useable too. A world without Steve Jobs is slightly scary. Here’s to hoping the iTeam keep it together, from the looks of their 4th quarter report, things are still rolling along. I’m thinking Steve left them a big box of ideas and concepts to work on, which will keep them going for many moons to come. I have some articles to post, just need to get them finished. That is another day…

IPad Revisited

So about seven months ago, I wrote that I wanted an iPad. So we decided to get one for an early Christmas present. Nice. This is certainly a great new toy. Kinda scaring me though. Another Apple product in our home. The quality of the display is awesome and is so easy to use. The apps are a bit more expensive, but some are worth the extra. Others are just trying to cash in. Research what you are getting for the extra.

iPhone & iTouch Icon Generator

Found a great little tool I thought I would pass along. Flavor Studios Tools & Resources has a generator for creating those cool icons. Provide the image and they do the rest. Heckuva lot easier than trying to do it yourself. It will create a full preview icon 256×256 .png, the apple-touch-icon.png. and a .ico file which contains 3 sizes (16,32,48).
You then download them as a zip file. This one is worth it’s weight in gold and is FREE

Here is an example. The first was the original the second was created by the generator.

Colour Swatches Web 2.0

I have been working on some colour schemes for awhile and came across these some time ago while surfing the net, so decided to post them here for others to use as well. Below are the links to download them as a Photoshop swatch file (aco) or an Adobe swatch exchange file (ase). The ase file can be loaded into any Adobe product using colour swatches.

Finally, we have auto activate for mobile, iPhone and iTouch. WordPress has done a great job on this. View the blog from a mobile device or iPod and it will switch automatically. Very cool

I added 2 feeds to the sidebar, check out the top free and paid feeds as a feedburner web page. If you use iTunes and have upgraded to the new Version 9, the list opens in itunes (very cool).
